Siblingship DNA Testing

Siblingship testing can be performed to determine whether two or more individuals are full or half brother/sister. This test is often used to confirm biological relationships among adoptees and siblings. It can also be used to infer paternity in cases where the alleged father is unavailable for testing.

In siblingship tests, the two potential siblings and all available parents are tested. We strongly encourage the participation of any available, known biological parents in the test because the DNA loci that siblings inherit from their father and mother may be entirely different. The probability of obtaining decisive results is improved when the biological parents participate in the test. There is no additional fee for testing the parents.

If you are interested in learning more about our siblingship DNA testing services, or if you would like to order a siblingship test, please contact one of our knowledgeable client services representatives at 1-800-284-0573.

Did You Know?
Genes can be dominant or recessive. If a person has at least one dominant gene for a trait, that trait will be expressed. However, a person would have to have two recessive genes for a trait before that trait would be expressed.
