Maternity DNA Testing

Maternity testing is useful in cases where an individual has been adopted or become separated from his/her mother at an early age. It is also used in some in vitro fertilization cases. In many U.S. states, adoption records have been sealed, and only a DNA maternity test can provide a conclusive answer.

In a maternity test, a child and alleged mother are tested. We encourage, but do not require the participation of the father; it is not required to provide conclusive results.

Though we specialize in testing for adult children looking for their biological mothers, we can perform maternity testing for almost any situation and provide the same accurate and conclusive results. For example, if you are a mother and are concerned your child may have been switched in the hospital at birth, we can provide DNA testing for your peace of mind. Or, if you are a mother and are contacted by an individual claiming to be your child that you gave up for adoption, we can provide the same conclusive answer to the one question that can change your life. We understand the reunion process can be difficult, and we want to provide you the peace of mind that you need before moving forward with your new relationship.

If you are interested in learning more about our maternity testing services, or if you would like to order a maternity test, please contact one of our knowledgeable client services representatives at 1-800-284-0573.

Did You Know?
If the father is unable or unwilling to participate in a maternity test, our laboratory can run a fatherless maternity test. The results are just as accurate as a standard trio (mother, father, and child).
